The District is located 5 miles southwest of the City of Manteca and 5 miles east of the City of Tracy. The District maintains the levee on the left (west) bank of the San Joaquin River between the Banta Carbona Intake and the State Route 205 and I- 5 intersections, with the western boundary being Kasson Road
