SERVICES PROVIDED: RD 348 was formed under the Act of 1861 to provide levee maintenance and drainage services. The District lands were originally part of Swampland District 5. RD 348 was also known as New Hope Tract, which encompasses an area bounded by the Mokelumne River to the west, north, and east and Beaver Slough to the south.
